Speed-Jobbing, Job-Dating or Express Interviews. Which term should be used?
Speed-Jobbing, Speed-Recruiting, Entrevues Express, “Speed meetings,” “quick interviews,” “timed interviews,” and “Job Dating” are all terms we heard when we started working in employability events. They all mean the same thing.
We decided to use the term “Speed-Jobbing” because our clientele is bilingual (French and English) and we believe this term appeals to both Francophone and Anglophone Canadians; however, if you wish, you can replace “Speed-Jobbing” with the term that suits you best!
How a Speed-Jobbing
Speed-Jobbing is a networking activity featuring timed interviews. It enables an employer to meet multiple candidates within a short timeframe. The duration of the event depends on several factors: the number of open positions, the time allocated for interviews, and the number of candidates present.
Meetings
Meetings take place via our video conferencing platform.
Language
The platform is available in French or English.
Timed
Determine the duration of meetings: between 10 and 27 minutes.
